Name, Image, Likeness Compliance
Overview
In April 2025, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) approved "Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL)" language, making Wisconsin one of more than 40 states to allow student-athletes to engage in NIL opportunities. Under the approved guidelines, student-athletes may participate in NIL activities that are not connected to their school, team, conference, or the WIAA and must comply with rules that prohibit activities designed to improperly influence school transfers.
The Hudson School District is committed to supporting student-athletes and their families in understanding this evolving landscape. The School District recognizes that NIL can present exciting new opportunities, and the Activities Department is available to ensure participation aligns with WIAA regulations and School District expectations.
