Raidaires

Message from the Coach:

The Hudson Raidaires Dance Team comprises two sub teams—Varsity and JV—both made up of dancers in grades 9 through 12. Our program is passionate about helping athletes discover their potential and grow as both dancers and people. We strive to foster an inclusive, fun, and hard-working environment for all Raidaires Dance Team members.

Dancers audition in the spring of the previous school year and begin training in May. Throughout the summer and fall, the team performs at local community events and prepares for competition season. Varsity competes in four styles: Jazz, Pom, Kick, and Hip-Hop. JV will compete in 2-3 of these. 

The Varsity Raidaires have earned 7 total state championships since 2020 and are the current 2025 D1 State Champions in Kick. In 2025, we also placed 4th in D1 Jazz and 9th in D1 Pom at State. We were the Regional Champions in Jazz and Kick and Runners-Up in D1 Pom. Individually, 9 senior soloists were named All-State finalists, with 7 selected to the All-State Team. Four duets also placed in the top 15 statewide.

Our JV team had an exceptional season as well—winning JEM state championships in both Jazz and Kick.

• Fall Performances: Local football games and events
• Competition Season: November–February
• Youth Camps:
  • February 2026: Junior Dance Camp
• Optional Prep Clinic: 3/24 4:15-6:30 (last 15 minutes is an informational meeting for athletes and guardians)
• Tryouts: 3/30-4/02
• 3/30 4-6 @ HMS Requested 4:30-6:30, but waiting to see if Pickleball happens that night as scheduled... scheduled 4-6 for now.
• 3/31 4:30-6:30 @ HMS
• 4/01 4:30-6:00 @ HMS
• 4/02 4-TBD (depends on how many tryout, callbacks, etc.)
